The Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay Leadership Team is made up of a Program Chair and Program Vice Chair as well as Chairs and Vice Chairs of our three focus areas: Hub for Business, Inclusion and Catalyst. Members of the Emerging Leaders Leadership Team serve for one year and must re-apply the following year. Applications for the next leadership team will come out in August of each year.

Andrew W. Smith, Associate, serves as a Client Advisor at J.P.
Morgan Private Bank based in Tampa, Florida. As a Certified Financial Planner™, Andrew advises business owners, executives, and high-net-worth families on strategies to optimize capital efficiently across their balance sheet. These strategies include guidance on: asset allocation, selection of investment vehicles, hedging solutions to mitigate risk, estate planning, asset protection, philanthropy, customized lending, and real estate financing. Andrew has over eight years of legal and financial experience and holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.

Andrew remains closely tied to our Florida business community. He is Program Chair of Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay and serves on the board for the Hillsborough County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Events Committee, Jesuit (Tampa) High School Alumni Council, and the Georgia Tech Suncoast Alumni Club. Additionally, Andrew is a Master Mason in Hillsborough Lodge No. 25, Noble in Egypt Shriners, Emerging Professional Member of Association for Corporate Growth Tampa Bay, Associate Member of the University Club of Tampa, and an Associate Pirate in Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla.

Raechel Canipe,
Program Vice Chair

DEX Imaging

Raechel is proud to work at DEX Imaging, ranked by the Tampa Bay Business Journal as one of the top 50 privately held companies in Tampa Bay. As a family owned, locally founded business, every year DEX Imaging gives 1/3 of the company’s profits back to education and nonprofits in the surrounding community and another 1/3 back to their employees as profit sharing. In her role at DEX, Raechel works with local business owners who are concerned about the inflated costs of mismanaged print, frustrated with electronic document management systems that don’t meet their needs, or worried about rising security threats and industry compliance as it relates to their printer and copier fleets. Raechel and her clients work together to implement technology solutions that mitigate long term costs while better protecting sensitive information and improving day to day operations.

Raechel, originally a native of North Carolina, moved to Florida with her family in 1995. After attending high school on the Space Coast, Raechel moved to Tampa to attend the University of South Florida and has been in love with the Bay Area ever since. As a second generation USF graduate and 1 of 4 in her immediate family to attend USF, Raechel was proud to carry on the family legacy as “a herd of proud USF Bulls.” In 2013 Raechel defended her thesis and graduated suma cum laude; she currently holds a B.A. in Psychology with an emphasis on research in the field of peer relations and a minor in Sociology. A firm believer in conquering new challenges and lifelong learning, she also holds her 1st degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and hopes to add a skydiving certificate to her collection of skills soon.

Raechel currently serves as Membership Chair 2017 to Emerge Tampa Bay, working as a team with her fellow Emerge Leaders and committee members to engage and connect local young professionals with opportunities for growth, development, community engagement, and a voice in local policy making. She also enjoys volunteering for the Alzheimer’s Association and the ALS Association. Eric is a graduate of the University of South Florida, where he majored in Communications and minored in Psychology. His communication and speaking abilities are unparalleled. His analytical prowess, or quick understanding and summary of data relevant to clients, allow him to easily understand, interpret, and explain the research that will help your business grow. His background of over 6 years in customer service – including retail work that satisfied customer desires and created solutions – transition seamlessly to provide clients with unprecedented attention and care.

His ability to provide partners with both extensive insight and attention to detail give him an upper hand in meeting a clients’ specific needs.

As a retail sunglass business entrepreneur throughout college, Eric worked to grow his own expanding business and blog in the Tampa Bay area for over two years. He effectively worked to market his business to make nationwide sales. His successes give him the proper mindset to understand and communicate with fellow business owners.

With this inclusive background, he can provide a consistent vision throughout all campaigns, while achieving the desired impact of individual clients. He is also involved in many c​​community organizations ranging from the USF Communications Undergraduate Advisory Board, the St. Pete Science Festival Marketing Committee, to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Young Professional Committee.

Megan Wade

Guardian ad Litem

Megan Wade was born in the Mile High City but spent most of her childhood in Palm Harbor, FL. She moved to Tampa to attend the University of South Florida and majored in Political Science with a minor in Criminology. She aspired to become a prosecutor for child-related crimes, and upon graduation Megan was offered a job as a Paralegal at a South Tampa law firm. She decided to get her feet wet in the legal field before committing to law school.

Through her legal work, she was first introduced to the Guardian ad Litem program and fell in love with the impact that the program was having on the children in her community. Beginning as a volunteer, Megan decided to forgo a law degree and instead was hired by the Guardian ad Litem program in 2015 as a Child Advocate Manager
(Volunteer Supervisor). She was then promoted to Community Outreach Coordinator after her wedding last May.

Megan is also involved with the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay, and Toastmasters. She also teaches yoga and attends USF for graduate work in non-profit management. Megan lives in Port Tampa with her husband, Dano. Contact Megan at

Joshua Wilson

University of South Florida (USF) 

Joshua obtained his Master’s degree in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education at Ball State University in the summer of 2011. Josh also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies, with a concentration in Public Relations and Communication Management, from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Master’s Degree from Ball State University. Josh’s undergraduate involvement in orientation, band, public relations, and homecoming fueled his interest for a career in student development.

Previously, Josh served as a Program Coordinator at the University of Notre Dame and, most recently, at the University of Florida (UF) where he transformed and redeveloped the GatorNights program, developed a new late night programming model as well as student leader training and development opportunities. Josh also served as an Emergency Dean responding to crisis, working in conjunction with UF’s Dean of Students, and providing support to students and families.

A former Leadership Fellow for the National Association for Campus Activities, Josh began his work at the University of South Florida (USF) in 2016 serving in the inaugural Associate Director role providing primary leadership and responsibility for the day to day advising and oversight for the greater involvement, programmatic, and marketing initiatives. He is passionate about his work with student development but also enjoys ultimate frisbee, photography, college football, biking, music, and community events. Contact Josh at

Chris Chambers,
Catalyst Chair

TECO

Chris Chambers is a Security Specialist with Tampa Electric Company. In this role, Chris oversees the physical security operations for Tampa Electric’s power generating facilties by ensuring the uninterrupted production of power for TECO’s customers. Chris is also a reservist in the United States Coast Guard with over 15 years of service to his country.

Chris, originally a native of Mississippi, moved to the Tampa Bay area in 2004 while while serving on active duty in the U.S. Coast Guard.  After 11 years of active duty service, Chris transitioned to the reserves in 2013 and began his career with Tampa Electric Company.  Also at that time Chris began pursuing his college degree and has earned his Associate in Science in Criminal Justice from Hillsborough Community College and is currently working towards his Bachelor of Science in Criminology at the University of South Florida.

In addition to his involvement with Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay, Chris is actively involved in the comminity by serving on committees and boards within RISE Tampa Our Police Foundation, Port of Tampa Propeller Club, Tampa Bay Harbor Safety and Security Committee, Area Maririme Security Comittee and American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) Military Liasion Council. Wyatt Krapf,
Catalyst Co-Chair

Wyatt Krapf is an Associate with HFF, a full-service capital markets advisory firm specializing in the brokerage and financing of institutional-quality commercial real estate. Primarily focusing on hospitality and multifamily property types, Wyatt performs financial analysis and market research to drive value for our clients through every step of the transaction process. Notable assignments in Tampa Bay include the Hilton Downtown Tampa, Postcard Inn St. Pete Beach, Westin Harbour Island, and the Sheraton Suites Westshore. After earning his Master’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Miami (Go Canes!), Wyatt pivoted to the world of real estate finance with HFF in Miami. Then to kickoff 2016, he transferred to the Tampa office so he could be closer to his parents, older brother, and younger sister who all live in Tampa Bay.
 
With several multibillion dollar projects underway throughout the city, Tampa is in the midst of a transformation. The urban core is springing to life, new arts and entertainment districts are emerging, and opportunity is everywhere to further build upon the city’s already impressive quality of life. It’s an exciting time to be a young professional, as we have an impressive level of access and influence to make a difference in the community and help take Tampa to the next level.

Amanda Bolli,

Amanda Bolli is a marketing and business development associate at BDG Architects, a full service architecture and design firm headquartered in downtown Tampa, Florida. BDG Architects has built a practice over 20 years based on producing creative architecture and interior design for a variety of clients and project types.
 
After graduating from the University of Florida’s College of Design, Construction and Planning with a major in Interior Design, she returned to her hometown of Tampa because she loves this vibrant city. Amanda is passionate about supporting local businesses and trying new things – whether it be restaurants, breweries, or art exhibits. She is also an avid nature lover, spending the weekends biking and canoeing with her husband.
 
Amanda joined Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay to surround herself with other young professionals making a difference in our community. She strives to uphold BDG Architects’ slogan of “Leadership IN Architecture………..Leadership BEYOND Architecture” by serving as an Ambassador on the 2018 ELTB board. She is incredibly excited to engage and connect members with all the valuable resources ELTB offers.

Elizabeth Calos, 
Ambassador
Scytl

Elizabeth is a pre-sales engineer at Scytl, an election software company in Tampa, FL. Scytl is a global leader in election technology solutions that simplify communication between election offices and constituents, facilitate opportunities to increase democratic participation, and streamline legislative session management.  She is also currently pursuing a MBA at the University of Florida. 
 
Elizabeth graduated summa cum laude from American University with a degree in International Studies. During her time in Washington, DC, Elizabeth worked for the US Department of State in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs and the Secretary's Office of Global Partnerships. After graduating from AU, Elizabeth worked for a small business federal consulting practice  with clients in DHS, FEMA, and the USDA. 
 
In 2015, Elizabeth moved to Tampa from Washington, DC. Since moving to Tampa, Elizabeth has made sure to take advantage of Tampa's craft beer community, growing restaurant scene, and beautiful attractions like the Tampa Riverwalk and Bayshore Boulevard. Lucielle Salomon, LLC

Energy, passion and laughter describer her. Lucielle Salomon is a full-time PR/Social Media Strategist and part-time blogger. She started her company at the age of 23 and her specialties include content creation, media relations, event management and influencer engagement. She enjoys developing innovative ideas to pitch her multiple lifestyle brand clients. She typically works with local business owners who are concerned that they don't have the talent to retain customers through social media or frustrated with teh lack of time and resources to implement a successful social media strategy. 

She considers herself a person that embraces change due to her family relocating in different places over the years. Born in Massachusetts and moved to the Dominican Republic with her family in 2002. After reloacting to Tampa in 2013, Lucielle has become a Tampa lover. She considers it the perfect place to start a business due to its welcoming and supportive environment. 

If she's not taking pictures, writing or editing videos, she is tackling the world of social media. Beyond her talent she always knew she had to follow her dream whereveri t took her. "It does not matter what your dream is, it is what you do to accomplish it."
