Brooke Parking Garage.  Follow the bridge over to City Center and the Chamber offices are the first door on your right

RECEIVE COMMITTEE MINUTES

One of the best benefits of Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay membership is the opportunity to serve on a committee. However, not everyone is able to attend committee meetings, so we are now allowing members the option to sign up to receive all the committees' minutes from the month. Beginning in April, members who sign up will receive an email at the end of the month that includes the minutes from all four committees.

EDUCATION CONNECTION

When academia and business work together – brilliance happens.

Education Connection is a partnership between the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Hillsborough Community College, Hillsborough County Schools, Saint Leo University, Stetson University College of Law, The University of Tampa, and the University of South Florida.

The partnership represents the majority of business interests and educational institutions in Hillsborough County. The partnership was created to develop workforce talent, encourage industry leading research, and inspire meaningful business-academic partnerships.

Education Connection is looking for engaged individuals in the Emerging Leaders community to join their committee and give young professional insight to their programming. Do you want to join Emerging Leaders member and Education Connection Committee Co-Chair Jennifer Lawson and other Emerging Leaders in this unique opportunity?

There are great people among us! Strangely though, in looking at the history of our country, there has been a consistent decline in how we speak, dress, interact and respect ourselves and others. This has led to an overly casual, often offensive version of the intelligent, focused people each of us can be – individually or as part of a group or team.

This is not a political talk, rather a humorous and poignant walk through some trends in style, language and habits including communication, technology and actions, which have created the environment we are in today.

ABOUT EMERGING LEADERS OF TAMPA BAY

Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay is a young professional leadership program of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce designed for emerging leaders ages 21 to 35. Stemming from an initiative to recruit and retain talent in the Greater Tampa Bay Area, the Chamber’s Board of Directors approved the idea in 2003, Emerge Tampa Bay was launched in May 2004, and the name was changed to Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay in December 2016.

Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay works to impact the business community across the region by providing professional development, networking, and community outreach opportunities for young professionals, as well as impacting public policy affecting the Tampa Bay business community.

With the vision of becoming the premier young professional program in the country, Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay’s mission is to support, cultivate and attract emerging leaders, ages 21 to 35, by providing access to business resources, educational opportunities, and community partnerships in an effort to enhance Greater Tampa Bay.
