Business Development Administration (SBA)
To further the mission of helping small businesses succeed, SBA has established regional offices across the country. These offices support SBA Local Offices within defined states, and work to advocate and accelerate economic development, growth and competitiveness within their geographic area. This support includes technical assistance, business training, counseling, mentoring and other services for small business owners.

Florida SBDC (Small Business Development Center) at USF
The Florida SBDC at USF’s services and resources provided to small businesses and entrepreneurs involve: no-cost one-on-one business consulting, low-cost entrepreneurial training seminars, the Business Resource Center, and Custom corporate training. Workshops and seminars are taught by industry experts and FSBDCN certified consultants.

Tampa Bay Partnership
The Tampa Bay Partnership is the regional organization that works with its partners to market the region nationally and internationally, to conduct regional research and to coordinate efforts to influence business and governmental issues that impact economic growth and development. The Partnership is coordinating the regional, eight-county export planning effort through the Brookings Institution’s Metropolitan Policy Program in cooperation with Tampa Bay chambers, economic development organizations, ports, airports, private sector stakeholders and governments.

Tampa Bay Trade & Protocol Council
The Tampa Bay Trade & Protocol Council (Council) is the result of the vision, leadership and partnership of the following eight organizations: City of Tampa, Hillsborough County, Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Hillsborough County Aviation Authority, Port Tampa Bay, Tampa Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau, University of South Florida and University of Tampa. The Council can assist in the following tasks, but is not limited to, facilitating matchmaking for exporting and visiting trade delegations, providing trade assistance, acting as an official host to visiting international government dignitaries and international visitors, and being the official liaison with the Tampa Bay Consular Corps.

The Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation focuses on the recruitment of foreign direct investments.
