The Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce has allowed me to build relationships with other business leaders in the community that help to shape my ideas for the future.
Small business is the backbone of today's economy and plays an enormous role in the success of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce. Twenty-two million small businesses employ half of the country's workforce. They create two of every three new jobs, generate a majority of American innovations and will lead our nation and the world through the 21st century.

The Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce has more than 1,200 members, 90% of which have 250 or fewer employees. Our goal is to promote the interests of these small businesses by providing programs and services that encourage professional development and to help small businesses thrive.

Small Business Week 2013

Every year since 1963, the President of the United States has issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week, which recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners.

More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and they create about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year.

As part of National Small Business Week, the U.S. Small Business Administration takes the opportunity to highlight the impact of outstanding entrepreneurs, small business owners, and others from all 50 states and U.S. territories.  Every day, they’re working to grow small businesses, create 21st century jobs, drive innovation, and increase America’s global competitiveness.
