CONSULTATION PROGRAM
In the Chamber's Small Business Consultation Program, qualified Chamber members provide assistance to other members in accounting, personnel, legal and marketing areas.
To request a consultation, just fill out our online form.
For more information on the program, or to volunteer as a consultant, contact Charise Strandberg, Director Small Business programs at (813) 276-9402.
The Chamber also offers a free Counseling Program in partnership with the Hillsborough County Small Business Information Center (SBIC), and in coordination with the USF Small Business Development Center (USF SBDC). Chamber members and non-chamber members can take advantage of free business counseling at the Chamber. On the second Tuesday of each month, a SBIC business counselor, certified by the USF SBDC, meets with business owners/managers in a one-on-one, scheduled session to review specific business concerns. The assigned Counselor will have the experience in the specific business issue requested, including marketing, business planning, human resources, and financing.
This partnership with the SBIC and USF SBDC enables the Chamber to offer support to companies that are experiencing a need for specific counseling. Based on the session, the Counselor may recommend to the business person additional resources to tap.
Free, confidential and individual appointments are 60 minutes in length. Appointments must be made in advance, by calling Charise Strandberg, Director Small Business Programs, at 813-276-9402.
