Small business is the backbone of today's economy. Twenty-two million small businesses employ half of the country's workforce. They create two of every three new jobs, generate a majority of American innovations and will lead our nation and the world through the 21st century.
The Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce has more than 2,000 members, 90% of which have 50 or fewer employees. Our goal is to promote the interests of these small businesses by providing programs and services that encourage professional development and to help small businesses thrive.
2007 marks the 27th anniversary for the Chamber's prestigious Small Business of the Year Awards.
For more information on any of the small business programs and services, please call Charise Strandberg, Director Small Business Programs, (813) 276-9402.
