Canada Outbound Trade Mission 2009, led by Mayor Pam Iorio, City of Tampa May 31st - June 3rd Join the Committee of One Hundred, in cooperation with the Honorary Consulate of Canada and representatives from Tampaˇ¦s leadership, on this outbound trade mission to Toronto and Mississauga, Ontario. Highlights of the mission include: - Economic briefings with Canadian government representatives - Seminars on doing business in Ontario and Tampa - Customized one-on-one appointments with Canadian companies arranged to fit your company profile - Reception with the U.S. Consul General at his residence in Toronto - Reception at the MaRS Discovery Centre

JUNE
June 19th: International Business Basics Organized by the Small Business Development Center at the University of South Florida, this seminar will provide a broad overview of trade with a special emphasis on importing. Participants will be able to formulate a strategy, develop a viable trade plan, and support their efforts through accessible resources. June 19th: Import and Export Seminar Organized by the Hispanic Business Initiative Fund (HBIF), participants will learn the basics of importing their companiesˇ¦ products and about the resources available to assist companies in the process. June 24th: Export - Import Symposium For those individuals and companies who would like to expand their business by trading abroad, this event will provide them with current information on the global market status and on global and regional trade conditions. The symposium will entail:
*Panel of special guest speakers, who will share their expertise on international trade *Seminar presenting real world experiences, successes, challenges, and best practices from businesses that have branched out into the international markets *Seminar on cultural diversity and international business strategies *Export-Import Bank presentation on "financing solutions" to those interested in investing abroad *Questions & Answers session *Testimony from a successful local exporter *Networking period with international trade practitioners in Tampa
Participants also have the opportunity to sign up for one-on-one appointments with an Ex-Im bank expert after lunch.
