1984, 1991, 2001, 2009. Each of these four periods in history when Tampa Bay hosted America’s largest televised sporting event reflect a city in evolution. Unprecedented population growth, economic diversification, new public amenities and cultural development are making Tampa one of the most attractive destinations in the nation to live or visit. Unfortunately, amidst all of this growth is a nagging lack of identity that makes it difficult to share our city’s story with the world.

Today, cranes and crews are working feverishly to complete billions of dollars’ worth of new construction projects in time for Super Bowl LV. Stakeholders from around the community are joining together to prepare a welcome party for the world on February 7, 2021. More than just a football game, this event represents a kickoff to Tampa Bay’s future.

This event will focus on Tampa's time to shine during the Super Bowl and will bring together perspectives from large-scale developers, marketing experts, and sports commission authorities to discuss this milestone event’s significance to the Tampa Bay region. The panel will highlight game-changing construction projects now underway, how to better define Tampa’s branding and identity, and what goes on behind the scenes to prep for such a large event.

Drinks and light appetizers will be provided.
