About the Ambassadors Committee

As a key role in the Chamber’s retention plan, the Ambassador Committee serves as member relations support and assists with efforts to retain members through consistent personal interaction and involvement. The Ambassadors welcome new members, continue to engage current members and recognize members celebrating milestone Chamber anniversaries. They attend ribbon cuttings and grand openings in the community in addition to Chamber functions. They are the motivated and outgoing volunteers who are always available to help with your Chamber membership.

If you are interested in joining the Ambassadors or would like more information, please contact Tracy Wilson at 813-276-9464.

Ambassador Spotlight

Sheila Neisler, owner of Catalyst – A Marketing Company

ambassador-copy.jpgMarketing – like sales – is a CONTACT sport!  That’s the mantra of Sheila Neisler, owner of Catalyst – A Marketing Company, who is The Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Quarter. Since joining the committee a little over a year ago, Sheila has participated in numerous functions and exemplifies the power of volunteerism. Taking her role as Chamber Ambassador very seriously, she helps members identify available resources and leverage their involvement to further their own business plan. She often consults with members on how to make the most of their membership. Keeping in mind, an average sale requires 5 – 12+ contacts to facilitate a sale, and truth be known, we are all in sales at some level. To maintain that equation, and stay within budget, you have to get creative! With its wide assortment of educational and networking opportunities, the Tampa Chamber provides an environment to keep that initial contact and conversation going, smoothly and professionally. She has found it to be one of the most cost-effective marketing channels businesses can use to grow revenue, relationships and referral sources.

Sheila Neisler brings her unique 360° Marketing perspective to the Tampa Bay area with 17+ years of delivering double-digit results with businesses and not-for-profits throughout the Carolinas. What differentiates her “Catalyst 360° Marketing” approach is that it is centered around building P2P (people-to-people) relationships – supporting and complementing sales teams versus replacing or competing with them. Her philosophy, “It’s not about spending more, it’s about spending more effectively,” resonates with clients, giving them greater focus to build top line results without sacrificing the bottom line.

As a Chamber Ambassador, you’ll often find Sheila bringing in a Chamber poster to events for photo-ops to help attendees maximize their exposure through multiple on-line and off-line platforms. “People like to do business with people who are active in their communities, working to improve the greater good. It creates a positive impression about the person and their company – and it’s another contact to keep the sales momentum going.”

Ambassadors are a highly visible group of volunteers who give their time to provide a crucial link between the Chamber, its members and the community. They are passionate about the Chamber and their involvement not only benefits this organization, but their participation helps build their own brand recognition. In short, the Ambassador program is a great way to get engaged with the business community and our Ambassador of the Quarter has done just that! Please join me in recognizing this bright shining star, great job Sheila!

Join us in congratulating her on a continued job well done as our Ambassador of the Quarter!
