“Overall the training I’ve received as business owner has been outstanding! The financial seminars helped us to better understand the importance of benchmarking and what banks look for when lending money. With help from my Minority Business Accelerator Business Coach, I’ve cleaned up the business’ Dun & Bradstreet rating which strengthened the company’s credit worthiness. As a result, the company purchased three new pieces of equipment and will be on bidding on others at an upcoming auction at the end of 2018. We’ve also seen a five percent growth in sales since joining the accelerator program in January 2018.” – Carolyn Lawson, CCS Marketing

“The Minority Business Accelerator has been an invaluable asset to our and has generated substantial revenues for our company. For example, they facilitated a strategic introduction to a major corporation headquartered here in Hillsborough County. Shortly after meeting with all the key buying agents of the corporation, we received an opportunity to bid on an exclusive project and was successfully awarded the project. Matcon has also:

  • Increased our sales volume by over 30% in the last twelve months;
  • Hired over 35 new employees and reduced our turnover significantly; and
  • Created a new concrete restoration and waterproofing division that has been very successful.

Our company would not have experienced this type of success so quickly had it not been for the accelerator’s support.” – Derek Mateos, Matcon
